Josep Bartomeu says Barcelona will be wary of Champions League semi-final opponent

Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu says the club will have to fight really hard if they want to make it to the final of the Champions League in Berlin.

"All the teams that get to this stage of the competition are strong and any rival will be very dangerous," Bartomeu warned. "We have confidence, though, whoever we draw, because we are a competitive team."

He was prudent when discussing the possible rivals, particularly Pep Guardiola's Bayern Munich, who thumped Porto on Tuesday night.

"Guardiola is a legend within Barcelona and he brought excellence to this [Barça] team," he said.

He also lavished praise on Andres Iniesta: "He led from the middle of the pitch. His technique is spectacular, as he showed today with his assist for Neymar — even the PSG directors were applauding."

Bartomeu also denied any PSG interest in Lionel Messi, who has been linked with the French club in the past. However,  he shot down the idea that "any team in the world" was talking to Barça about signing the Argentine star.

Finally, he also looked ahead to the Espanyol game on Saturday. "It's a must win," he stated. "We are so close to [winning] La Liga and we can't make any mistakes."
