The Barcelona legend's son spoke about his father one year after he died

He believes that his father helped with Barcelona's huge victory over PSG in the Champions League

Jordi Cruyff as the only son of Johan, was always the right eye of his father. The Maccabi Tel Aviv sporting director spoke about various topics, including Barcelona’s 6-1 comeback against PSG in the Champions League.

Told that many reports said the spirit of Cruyff was present in the remontada, Jordi said: “I believe it too. I was at Camp Nou. I saw what happened live.”

And what happened?

“We lived a historic night. We saw a valiant side that wanted and could play with risk, with a unique ending to making possible the impossible.”

What did Cruyff have to do with that night?

“Firstly, the tactics. Remember what some people said when my dad introduced the line of three defenders for the first time? He said that if the rival played with two forwards, or even one, why do you need to play with four defenders. You are losing two players.

“Luis Enrique was very brave against PSG, putting the line of three without natural full backs. I’m sure my dad, from the sky, felt very proud of Barcelona. He, too, lent a hand.”
