Alba says Barça fans are in for a treat when Dembele takes off

He's also delighted with the signing of Coutinho from Liverpool

Jordi Alba believes that Barcelona supporters are still not aware of how far Ousmane Dembele can go at the club. The left-back has highlighted the French player's potential and ability.

Alba asked for patience for a player who has impressed him. "He can strike a ball brilliantly with both feet. We don't know if he's left or right footed. And he's so quick. I'm sure in the German league teams play higher up and you saw Dembele's speed more. Here, that's more difficult because teams sit a lot deeper. And against us teams completely close up and there isn't so much space.

"He's adapting perfectly to the club and he's a great kid. You also have to have patience, because he's very youn. But he's going to make us better, he has trememdous qualities. We're talking about a spectacular player and little by little his performances are going to get better.:

The defender even said Dembele's quicker than him: "Yes, I think he is. He's really quick. We haven't done any test on it, but I think he's quikcer than me."

Alba also referred to the arrival of Philippe Coutinho, a player that's excited the fans and the squad.

"Coutinho is a Barça style player and I'm sure the supporters are going to enjoy him. And he is going to help us a lot, too. To be honest, the squad was already really good and the now, with the signings that we're making, I am sure they're going to take us forward again," he added.

The full-back has good references on the ex-Liverpool playmaker. On a personal level, too. "They've told me what a good person he is. It's important to have these type of players in the squad for football and human reasons. Signings like Coutinho and Dembele improve the quality already in the squad."
