Jordi Alba sealed Barcelona's win at Eibar on Saturday, scoring the second goal of the 2-0 win as Ernesto Valverde's side returned to winning ways after two draws in the league.

Philippe Coutinho switched the ball out to Aleix Vidal on the right, whose cross found Lionel Messi. The Argentine's shot was saved by Dmitrovic but Alba was on hand to score the rebound from close range.

It's a goal which sealed the three points for Barça following large spells of pressure from the home side.

Alba now has three goals this season, two of them have come in La Liga Santander and the third came in the Copa del Rey against Celta Vigo.

“Eibar are a very difficult team who know how to play and make it difficult for you," he said after the game. "I am very happy with the goal and the win. It’s clear that we suffered a lot at the start of the match."

Left-back Alba was involved in a tussle with Fabian Orellana throughout the match, with the Eibar man eventually sent off for dissent. That provoked a response from home coach Jose Luis Mendilibar, who was also sent off.

“Mendilibar was defending his player and I’m not going to get involved," Alba said. "That’s the referee’s job. After the sending off we had more calm, although they still pushed a lot."
