De Jong: I think I will be playing for Ajax next season
The Dutch midfielder is a target for Barcelona this summer
Ajax midfielder Frenkie de Jong says he expects to stay where he is next season despite Barcelona's interest in signing him.
"I don't read the Spanish press, but people send me what comes out and I like to see it," said De Jong, who is recovering from an injury. "But right now things aren't advanced enough for me to worry about [my future]."
De Jong added that he wasn't 100 percent sure whether his agent's been in talks with Barça or any other team: "I don't know if he's dealing with it or not, maybe he is, but you would have to ask him."

The Dutchamn also made reference to Ajax's sporting director Marc Overmars, revealing "he's told me that I can't leave Ajax, so there's not even a debate."
And asked if next season he will play for Ajax or move clubs, De Jong explained that "you can never say for sure, but it looks like next season I will play for Ajax."
At 21, De Jong's one of his club's best players and he has a contract in Amsterdam until 2022.
"For now, what most concerns me is recovering from my injury and being able to play football again," he said. "The rest will come."
