Joan Laporta: We have a great relationship with Paul Pogba and Mino Raiola

Joan Laporta has said that he has a good relationship with Paul Pogba's agent, while adding that his sporting director, Eric Abidal, is on good terms with the player.

If a deal needs to be done, the Barcelona presidential candidate suggested these relationships would help. The former president (2003-2010) was taking questions at his headquarters in the centre of Barcelona.

Here is what else he had to say:

On Paul Pogba: He is a player that we think fits the style of the club, but first we would need to speak to Juventus through our sporting director. I have a really good relationship with [Pogba's agent] Mino Raiola and Eric Abidal has a good relationship with Paul Pogba, if we were to negotiate a transfer.

On Arda Turan: He is a great player, but I do not know if Atletico [Madrid] want to sell him.

On Sergio Ramos: It would be strange for Barça fans [if we signed him].

On Luis Enrique: I have not spoken with him, but if the need arises we would consult with him. He is the architect of [Barcelona's] success.

On Deulofeu and Montoya exits: The temporary board is entitled do that by the club's statutes, but [in my opinion] they should only take administrative decisions. Decisions on transfers should be made by the new board.

On his relationsip with the players: I have never said that I have the support of the dressing room, just that I have lived through good expreriences with them.

On Josep Guardiola: I'm a good friend of Guardiola. Pep would make a great Barça president.

On Bartomeu and Rosell: [Bartomeu's] attempt to discredit [me] has not gone well. I have learned from Rosell and Bartomeu not to act out of resentment. The darkness has been very evident during Rosell and Bartomeu's time [presiding over FC Barcelona]. I have never played dirty, nor will I.
