Joachim Low checks in on Barça's academy at the Ciutat Esportiva

The German coach was watching an Infantil A game at Barcelona's training ground on Sunday

Joachim Low was at the Barcelona's Ciutat Esportiva on Sunday. The German coach was able to have a chat with Marc-Andre ter Stegen and was present for the Infantil A game against l’Hospitalet.

He said: "Ter Stegen is doing really well and we're happy that he's playing here at Barça." 

Low largely went unnoticed, although he did pose for photos with all fans that asked. He was also present at the Clasico between Barça and Real Madrid and took advantage of his stay in the city to check in on the Blaugrana's youngsters.

His visit to the the Ciudad Deportiva Joan Gamper is seen as a contact with the best academy in the world. And it is that the German coach has always stood out for having teams which give a lot of importance to the fluidity of the ball. With him were his colleagues from the national team, Andreas Kopke and Miroslav Klos,.

To names some names, Low may have been impressed by Jorge Alastuey, who played well in the game, Marc Pelaz and Fermín López. The more well known Xavi Simons began the game on the bench. 

The German boss added:  "They do great work at La Masia. We're happy to be here, it's a top academy and the first team's play has been thanks to the confidence shown in players developed in house." 

Low's visit shows that the Barça academy still impresses and has a lot of influence on the rest of the world. As well as Low, there are many managers and coaches who focus on La Masia to improve their own work.
