Javier Tebas: "Joan Laporta has already been a great Barcelona president"
The president of the LFP, Javier Tebas, has welcomed the idea of Joan Laporta running for the presidency at Barcelona again.
Tebas said: "He's already been a great president for Barcelona.
"He left Barça, at least sportingly speaking, in a really good situation.
"He's free to present himself for the role again and if the club think they need a second spell with him, so be it."
Laporta himself has refused to rule out running for another term.
A court this week dismissed Barcelona's case against him, although Josep Maria Bartomeu confirmed on Friday the club would appeal the decision.
