Javier Mascherano says Barça need to improve after PSG defeat

Javier Mascherano spoke to TV3 after PSG 3-2 Barcelona and did not avoid any criticsm that was coming his way after Luis Enrique's side suffered their first defeat of the season. 

"We did not play well in the first half and struggled to get into the game. They penalised our errors a lot. We tried throughout the second half but it was very difficult with their third goal." 

Mascherano was not overly impressed with PSG's performance. "We expected that they would press us high up. But they didn't seek the pressure there and instead retreated to the counter attack. Still, we conceded two goals from set pieces.

Mascherano said that it was an opportunity lost for his side, adding: "Victories, you don't just get them. You have to work for them."

Now he is determined to improve. "Defeats always worry us. Obviously we can improve. Perhaps we could have gotten more more touches. We'll have to correct the mistakes we made."
