Former Spain, Athletic Club and Espanyol coach Javier Clemente has given an extensive interview to Jot Down, during which he spoke about his career.

The interview had only just began when he pointed out that Miguel Munoz had given him the nickname 'Bobby Charlton' as a plater.

"Miguel Munoz was a good friend of mine," he said. "He loved me a lot. And that was the nicest thing that he said to me.

"At that time Manchester United were the best team in the world and Bobby Charlton was known all over the world.

"As I was blonde and Athletic were so English, they called me Bobby Charlton. After he called me all kinds of things -- expletives, too!"

It was then that the journalist, Alvaro Corazon, commented that as a player he was an organiser, really quick.

For that reason, he asked Clemente which current player he was like.

Clemente had no doubts: "I think I was in the line of [Lionel] Messi, left-footed, although with a more Basque-style football, where working hard was more noticeable.

"But more or less I had that style. Give the ball, get is back, give it, get it back, carry it..."
