Ivan Rakitic: Alen Halilovic has to speak with Barça & reach a solution
Ivan Rakitic has returned to work ready to improve on last season. The Croatian midfielder, speaking in a press conference after Barcelona arrived at the St. Regis hotel in San Francisco, believes that despite the treble, the previous campaign was not perfect.
"You always have to improve," he said. "Last season was almost perfect, but now we want [this season] to be perfect."
The 27-year-old also spoke about his compatriot, Alen Halilovic, who is in America with Barça's first team. "I don't know what will happen with him. I think that he has to speak with the club and find a solution," Rakitic said.
In addition, he pointed out that Halilovic is still very young and that he still needs to grow as a person and as a football player. "It's not easy for him," Rakitic added.
He then answered questions about Xavi, saying that the midfielder's legacy will continue at the club, although it would have been better if he had stayed.
