Andres Iniesta was delighted to be given a standing ovation by the Juventus supporters when he was taken off.
Barcelona drew 0-0 in Turin, securing their place in the Champions League knockout stages as group winners.
Iniesta started the game but was taken off late on for Jordi Alba.
“It’s really nice that [the supporters] show me this kind of affection -- both at home and abroad,” the midfielder said.
"Honestly, it is a source of pride and it makes me really happy, both as a player and as a person."
On Barça's progress, he added: "We’ve fulfilled our objective with a game to spare, which was important.
“We put in a great shift and the whole team did a great job against great opponents."
Iniesta also praised the "quality and talent" of Marc-Andre ter Stegen, whose good form continued with a fine late save from Paulo Dybala.
"The best thing about him is that he still has plenty of room to grow," the captain said.
