Andres Iniesta only played the first 45 minutes at Anoeta of the first leg of the Copa del Rey quarter-final between Barcelona and Real Sociedad.
Luis Enrique decided to take him off at half time for Andre Gomes, who began on the bench with Ivan Rakitic starting. According to Cadena Ser, Iniesta picked up a slight knock, so Luis Enrique did not want to risk him.
It was a change which saw Barça lose control in midfield in the second half, with Iniesta one of the stand out performers in the opening period.
The midfielder is being examined by Barça's medical team and an update on his fitness is expected after the match in San Sebastian concludes.
Remember that Barcelona's next match is in the league at Eibar on Sunday, where a win is vital if they want to keep up with Madrid at the top of the table. That's followed by the second leg against La Real and a La Liga trip to Real Betis.
Rafinha missed the game in Basque Country with a hamstring problem. Luis Enrique says the injury is not serious but it's not known if he will return for Eibar.
