Iniesta: I haven't thought about becoming Barça's coach

Andres Iniesta is enjoying an impressive run of form that has seen him catapulted back into the spotlight at Euro 2016 with Spain.

The Roja midfielder won both man of the match awards against the Czech Republic and Turkey, hoping he can add to those two accolades as the tournament progresses.

Iniesta sat down with SPORT to reveal details about his career including his future at the Camp Nou, where he wants to be for the rest of his playing career.

"As a player I've no doubt [that I want to stay with Barça], I want it to be so," he began, "From there, we'll see where life takes me.

"There's no doubt that Barça is where I've spent and spending all my life - it's my second home.

Although Iniesta is now 32-years-old and showing no signs of retiring just yet, there have been suggestions that he could one day be on the touchline as the Blaugrana's coach. But that's not something that has entered his mind for the moment.

"I haven't thought about [becoming Barça's coach]. There's no other reality than this, it's something that, for now, I can't comment on.

"I find it difficult to visualise many years ahead. I want to enjoy what [time] I have left playing, that's what makes me happy."

Iniesta also took time to talk about former Barça coach Pep Guardiola, who together at the club won a staggering 14 trophies. Now, Guardiola prepares for life in the Premier League with Manchester City, a team who Iniesta believes will benefit from the Catalan's arrival.

"I'm aware that Guardiola will try new things with Manchester City, I've played under him and know how it is - City will have a great coach," Iniesta concluded.

"He's one of the best coaches in the world and will train a team that will be fighting for all titles."
