Nice president confirms Barcelona are in talks with forward Hatem Ben Arfa

Jean-Pierre Rivere, Nice president, confirmed Barcelona have been in touch to try and sign forward Hatem Ben Arfa. He told France 3 "neither the player or the club have confirmed to me that it's done. What is true is that they have met." 

Ben Arfa, who has kept contact with Barcelona and is out of contract on June 30, seems like he's already got one foot out of Nice. At least based on what the president says. "I would be very happy if the operation goes through, for the player and for Nice. It signifies something that Nice can count on exceptional players like Ben Arfa," said Jean Pierre Rivere. 

He added: "I'm not the player and I'm not Barcelona, but in the end who should decide is the player himself."
