Iker Casillas: Victor Valdes deserves a quick solution

Iker Casillas spoke about Victor Valdes, the former Barcelona goalkeeper, after Spain's 2-0 win over Slovakia.

Manchester United have not registered his old rival for the Champions League and he has been frozen out by Louis van Gaal.

Iker, who knows Victor well from their time in the Spanish national side, when they won a World Cup and a European Championship.

Casillas wanted to give: "All the support to Victor and a lot of sympathy. He deserves a solution quickly, for the type of player he is. 

"It shows you that football is sometimes very ungrateful."

The Porto goalkeeper added: "If they told us he'd be a year and a half in this situation, obviously nobody would have wanted it."
