Gerard Pique's rant at Ousmane Dembele in Athletic defeat
The Barcelona captain was angry with the French winger for Aduriz's goal
Barcelona struggled in San Mames and lost 1-0 to Athletic on their league opener. The goal was scored by Aritz Aduriz and Gerard Pique blamed Ousmane Dembele for it. The Barcelona skipper on the night believes the French winger could have done more to stop Ander Capa from crossing in the ball to Aduriz.
As Athletic players wheeled away in celebration, Pique turned to Dembele to berate him.
That continued for a while as Athletic continued to celebrate, with Dembele left speechless. He held his head without responding to the defender.
Frenkie de Jong, in between the two, followed proceedings but without saying anything either.
Dembele played badly in Bilbao. He was not able to break through on either side or link up with his friend and French compatriot Antoine Griezmann.
