Gerard Pique's cheeky dig at Cristiano Ronaldo in treble speech

Gerard Pique celebrated Barcelona's treble, like his team-mates, enjoying an open-top bus ride through Barcelona streets crowded with fans, before giving a speech at a packed Camp Nou. Except Pique's speech was something a bit cheeky, with the Barcelona centre-back taking a dig at Cristiano Ronaldo, who ended the season without any of the major titles.

"Thanks to the team, the technical staff, doctors, phyios, all the fans, all the directors, and to Kevin Roldan, who started everything!" said Pique, to the amazement and delight of his team-mates and a beaming Luis Enrique.

Barcelona's No 3 was referring to the party Cristiano Ronaldo threw for his 30th birthday, on the evening Real Madrid were beaten 4-0 by Atletico. Colombian singer Kevin Roldan had been invited to the event, which was secret, but then he posted a picture on Twitter which caused a lot of anger - that Ronaldo and Co were partying on the eve of such a painful defeat.

Another curiosity is that Pique and Ronaldo were team-mates at Manchester United and seemed to have a good relationship, although perhaps that has faded over time. The latter certainly won't be too impressed at the former's reminder of that evening.
