Gerard Pique pulls out of promotional event after thrashing
The hangover from Barcelona’s clash with PSG is tough. And the Blaugrana stars are conscious that today is not the day for promotional events. Leo Messi cancelled a trip to Egypt and now Gerard Pique has pulled out of an event with Ametller Origen at 9pm on Wednesday.
Pique will not participate in the masterclass from the company which was about sporting nutrition. Pique’s appearance had caused excitement but now it has been cancelled and he can watch Real Madrid vs Napoli instead in the Champions League.
Messi cancelled an appearance at an event in Cairo he was supposed to attend on Wednesday. The Argentine has scheduled a lightning visit to Egypt to appear in a campaign combatting Hepatitis C.
The idea was not to return with the team after playing PSG in Paris and instead to take a flight to Cairo. However after the club’s 4-0 defeat he decided to change his plans. He cancelled his appearance and flew back to Barcelona to train with his team-mates.
