Pique hails Messi after tremendous performance in Seville
The defender didn't bite his tongue after the Argentine's brilliant rendition at the Sanchez Pizjuan
Lionel Messi had a brilliant game against Sevilla, scoring, setting one up and playing incredibly against the Andalusians in the second half. He was decisive for Barcelona once again.
Gerard Pique did not make the trip because of his injury and watched on television. After the game he decided to make a tweet, which read: "If the Ballon d'Or was given to the best player in the world, Leo would have won it every year since 2009. Another level."
It is likely something that will upset many in Madrid, because of Cristiano Ronaldo's claim to the award, but Pique has a good point.
Si el Balón de Oro se diera al mejor jugador del mundo, Leo lo tendría que haber ganado cada año desde el 2009. Otro nivel.
