Gerard Deulofeu, Lionel Messi and Pedro ready to lead line for Barça

The Catalan dream this season would be to have Luis Suarez, Lionel Messi and Neymar rivalling Real Madrid's BBC trio (Gareth Bale, Karim Benzema, Cristiano Ronaldo).

However, all indications are that we will have to wait a fair bit of time to see those three line up for Barcelona.

In the first game of the season we only expect Messi to be be playing, on August 24 against Elche at the Camp Nou.

The least likely to play on that day is Luis Suarez.

By then, the Court of Arbitration for Sport are likely to have heard the appeal by the Uruguayan against the FIFA sanction for biting Giorgio Chiellini, but it seems unlikely that the ban would have been removed.

It can't be ruled out, but at the moment the club are just hoping he will be allowed to train with his team-mates.

There is nothing certain about Neymar's presence either.

On Monday he will be tested to see the progress of his recovery from injury, but at the moment even if he feels 100 per cent by the big kick-off, he is still unlikely to cope with full game conditions and will probably be on the bench.

Therefore, with Alexis Sanchez and Cristian Tello departing, Enrique looks like he will be left with a front three of Gerard Deulofeu, Messi and Pedro Rodriguez

It's currently untested but it's likely that Enrique will use them in the Joan Gamper Trophy, given that Messi will join the squad next Monday.

He will have only 15 days of preparation for the season and that game will be the last of the season before the Elche clash.
