Gareth Bale renews his Real Madrid contract until 2021

Gareth Bale has reached an agreement to sign a new two-year contract extension with Real Madrid until 2021.

The Welshman has scored 60 goals in 124 appearances for Los Blancos helping the club to their tenth and eleventh Champions League titles in the process.

Real president Florentino Perez will reward the 27-year-old for his continued strong performances and is determined to tie the forward down to the European champions for the foreseeable future.

Bale completed his move from Tottenham Hotspur to Real for a then world record fee of 101 million euros three years ago and will become the second highest earning player at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu with a salary of ten million euros net per season.

Only Ronaldo can better that wage and the Euro 2016 winner will also renew his contract with Real until 2021 that is expected to be announced at some point in August.
