Galatasaray preparing their final offensive for Aleix Vidal

The sale of Podolski could free up money for a move for the Barcelona right-back

The Turkish press assure that Galatasaray will not give up on the possibility of signing Aleix Vidal in January. According to the latest reports, the club are prepared to make an ambitious economic offer to Barcelona to close a deal for the full-back.

Galatasaray hope to bring in some money through the sale of Lukas Podolski. The 31-year-old German forward is close to finalising a move to Chinese side Guangzhou Evergrande. The deal could bring in 20 million euros, which the Turkish club would use to invest in Aleix Vidal.

In Turkey they’re confident that Vidal is ready to leave Barça as long as the offer is attractive — both financially and in terms of the sporting project.

As for Barça, they won’t put up much resistance but don’t want to lose out too much on the money they invested in the player, which is around 16 million euros.

Galatasaray and Guangzhou are reportedly close to closing the Podolski deal and once that announcement is made, there may be movement on Vidal.
