Galatasaray interested in Barcelona defender Jeremy Mathieu

Jeremy Mathieu will leave Barcelona this summer. He has a year to run on his deal but Barcelona will allow him to leave as they feel his value to the team has dropped. 

The defender has disappeared in the last few months since the first leg defeat to Juventus and knows his future is now away from Camp Nou. 

Galatasaray have made him an offer, while there are also offers from eslewhere in Europe for Mathieu to continue his career at the top level. 

However, first the Turkish club must hold talks with Barça with the hope that the Catalan club will allow him to leave for free now the season had finished. 

The Blaugrana would like to get a small fee but they're not going to hold out and would let him leave for free if necessary. Mathieu is happy at the club but understands he will not have a big role in the new project. 

Signed from Valencia, there have been good and bad performances from the Frenchman, who has also had his fair share of injury problems in his three years at Camp Nou.
