From the "vulgar" Cristiano Ronaldo to the best version of Gerard Pique

From the "vulgar" Cristiano Ronaldo to the best version of Gerard Pique

The worst Cristiano Ronaldo is back. The vulgar, aggressive and arrogant Cristiano Ronaldo. A Cristiano Ronaldo that earned a red card against Cordoba after two acts of aggression (the first was not seen by the referee). A Cristiano Ronaldo that lost his temper because of his own impotent performance. A Cristiano Ronaldo who goaded the Cordoba fans with a cocky gesture, stroking the world champion badge on his shirt. Simply pathetic.

In Madrid they had mounted a campaign assuring that Cristiano Ronaldo had changed. That he was no longer so brazen. But the real character of the Portuguese player came out on Saturday. And even though he has apologised through his personal Twitter account, his attitude deserves an exemplary sanction. This is the fourth time he has been expelled for assaulting an opponent. Something which has never happened to Messi...

Meanwhile, the best Gerard Pique is back. And that is great news for Barça. After a difficult year and a half, slow and out of form, the Blaugrana defender has found the form which made him one of the best centre backs in the world. On top of that, he scored another goal, taking him to four for the season. His goal at Elche opened the scoring in Barça's 6-0 win. We're grateful the real Pique has returned.
