Barcelona, PSG, Man City and Bayern are all keen on the midfielder

Comments made by Frenkie de Jong's father contrast with recent reports suggesting a deal to move Paris Saint-Germain is close.

Instead, he makes it sound like the Ajax and Holland midfielder is more likely to end up at Barcelona.

"There's a 95 percent chance he leaves Ajax [in the summer] and [moving to] Barça would be the best decision," the player's father said.

De Telegraaf revealed last week that PSG had reached an agreement to land the 21-year-old, but the player and his agent denied the reports.

The Dutch international's future is in the air. His father, speaking to VoetbalPrenium, added: "He has to decide. He's a clever kid and will make his decision in Spring."

Therefore, he confirmed De Jong's will to remain at Ajax for the rest of the season. As well as Barça and PSG, Manchester City and Bayern Munich are also keen on the talented midfielder.
