Four candidates to replace Luis Enrique as Barcalona coach this summer

Barça have three months to find a Lucho replacement after he confirmed he's leaving

Barcelona will not rush into a decision. Luis Enrique's announcment that he's leaving at the end of the season gives them time between now and then to look at the options available to them.

In the coming days and weeks, without doubt, many names will be linked with the club. Some will be logical, others not so. What manager would say no to Barça? Very few. But there are also very few who meet the necessary criteria to land the job.

JORGE SAMPAOLI

(Casilda, Argentina, 13 March 1960).

The current Sevilla manager, after spells with Universidad de Chile and the Chilean national team. Has won various titles as a coach, including the Copa America. His style would adapt to Barça, a team he has praised on several occasions.

ERNESTO VALVERDE

(Viandar de la Vera, Cáceres, 9 Ferbruary 1964).

The current Athletic Club coach. As a player he spent two years at Barcelona, so he knows the club well. Has also coached Espanyol, Olympiacos, Villarreal and Valencia. In his honours he has the Spanish Super Cup with Athletic, three league titles with Olympiacos and two Greek cups, too.

JUAN CARLOS UNZUÉ

(Pamplona, Navarra, 22 April 1967).

Luis Enrique's current No.2. As a player he was at Barça between 1988 and 1990. As coach he made his debut as a goalkeeping coach, first with Frank Rijkaard and then with Pep Guardiola. After a brief spell with Numancia, he returned to Barça once again as goalkeeping goal. He left for Racing, but soon joined up with Luis Enrique at Celta Vigo. He knows the club and the dressing room.

JURGEN KLOPP

(Stuttgart, Germany, 16 June 1967).

The current Liverpool boss. Made his name at Mainz, where he spent eight seasons, earning a move to Borussia Dortmund. Has won the Bundesliga twice, as well as the German cup. Also reached a Champions League final, while with Liverpool he was a beaten Europa League finalist last season.
