Florentino Perez: Luis Suarez is not a very good player

Sometimes your words can come back to haunt you. That is what Florentino Perez might be thinking at the moment. Luis Suarez scored twice at the Santiago Bernabeu to help Barcelona crush Madrid 4-0, one of their worst defeats in the past few years. He also scored the winner against Madrid in the last Clasico at the Camp Nou, earlier this year.

But back in 2014, Perez had nothing good to say about the Uruguayan. He was speaking to a fan who asked the president to sign the striker, then at Liverpool. Perez didn't think twice and said: "Suarez is not a very good player".
