The available players trained with 5 youth team players

Arda Turan, Leo Messi, Neymar and Piqué, who are currently in Japan, will be the last to arrive

Ernesto Valverde’s Barça got down to work this Wednesday.

After the relevant medical tests and analyses in the morning, the players had their first training session this evening. The new manager and his staff worked with the players available: Ivan Rakitic, Luis Suárez, Rafinha, Thomas Cillessen, Javier Mascherano, Paco Alcácer, Sergi Roberto, Aleix Vidal, Marlon, Douglas, Jasper Vermaelen, Sergi Samper and Munir. In addition to the first team players, youth team players Ortolà, Aleñá, Cucurella and Palencia also took part in the session. Gerard Deulofeu attended the training ground to continue with his treatment.

On Friday, Sergio Busquets, Denis Suárez, Andrés Iniesta, Jordi Alba, Lucas Digne and Samuel Umtiti, who were given an extra three days due to international commitments, will start training. The last to arrive will be Arda Turan, Leo Messi, Neymar and Gerard Piqué as they are in Japan doing commercial work for Rakuten and won’t be in Barcelona until Saturday.

The players will have double sessions until Sunday, when they will only train in the morning.
