FIFA prevent RFEF from registering Arda Turan

FIFA has expressly forbidden the Spanish Football Federation from enrolling Arda Turan as a Barca player, as a result of the sanctions which weigh over the club. The Federation will be forced to revise the standard of internal rules which allow clubs in the Spanish league to replace long-term injuries, since it conflicts with FIFA guidelines limiting the transfer and registration of new players to both summer and winter windows. The Spanish federal agency will address the issue at the next meeting of the board, but their desire is to maintain the internal rules currently in force and is considered a timely and sports justice issue.

At that meeting, the Federation will discuss the possibility of appealing to CAS, along with Barcelona, against the FIFA decision not to allow the registration of Arda Turan, although a source from the organisation itself has told SPORT this option will be difficult. The federal decision on the matter is not bound follow the plan of Josep Maria Bartomeu, who has already announced he will go all the way to defend the rights of the club, as Barcelona understand that the penalty should just be the two windows for registration of new players, which has now passed. They say that now, in this case, they are an exception that puts them at a disadvantage compared to other teams in the Spanish League.
