Fernando Torres: I hope Barcelona don't win the league in Madrid

Fernando Torres does not want to attend a Barcelona victory party at the Vicente Calderon on Sunday.

The Catalans visit the Spanish capital to play Atletico Madrid, knowing that if they leave with three points they will be La Liga champions.

The former Liverpool and Chelsea striker admits it would be a nice parallel if Barcelona won the league at Atletico, after his side did it at Camp Nou last season, but doesn't want that to happen. 

"I hope that they don't win it here," said Torres.

"We hope to win the game ourselves and assure ourselves of third place. But football is like that. 

"Atletico became champions last year at the Nou Camp and, as football and fate would have it, Barcelona have the possibility of becoming champions at our ground.

"But that does not tell us anything because we are fighting a different war, to win to be third and achieve our objective."
