FC Barcelona official shirt numbers for the 2017/18 seasons
The club have confirmed their numbers for the new season after a busy summer
Dembele will take Neymar's No.11 in the biggest changes from last year
Barcelona have made official their squad numbers for the 2017/18 season, now that the transfer window has closed. Among them, the news is the confirmation of the numbers the new signings will wear: Ousmane Dembele, Gerard Deulofeu, Nelson Semedo and Paulinho.
They have all chosen -- or been given -- shirt numbers which did not have owners. Dembele takes Neymar's No.11, while Deulofeu has the No.16 shirt. Right-back Semedo has No.2 and Brazil's Paulinho No.15. Thomas Vermaelen, returning from a loan spell with Roma, takes Jordi Masip's No.25.
Arda Turan has the No.7 for now, even though it was speculated he would not take a number with the first team as talks over a loan move to Turkey continue. Meanwhile, another player who could have left the club, Andre Gomes, has No.21. The rest of the first team squad have the same numbers as last season.
Munir, Samper, Marlon and Douglas have all left on loan and none have a first team squad number.
