The Getafe player spoke to EFE about Messi coming to town

His aim is to reach the World Cup with Morocco next summer

Fayçal Fajr will have a tough test against Barcelona. He's a player with a curious relationship with the Catalan club... and the new Getafe player would like to know if they would have won so many titles in recent years without Lionel Messi.

-You have moved to Getafe and Barcelona are coming. You made your debut against Barça in Spain with Elche, your first dismissal was against them... what do you feel when you play against them?

-I think I have arrived where I wanted to be and you have to demonstrate what you can do. Since I was little I dreamed of playing against them, one of the best teams in the world. But you don't worry too much, because if you do you will gift them things in the game.

-Barcelona seemed on their knees after the Super Cup loss to Madrid and now they're back in form. Is it the worst moment to play them?

-It's Barcelona. The pick themselves up. They don't lose many games in a row. But last year, when they won 6-1 against PSG, just after that, in La Liga, we [Deportivo La Coruna] beat them 2-1. So [form] doesn't mean anything. They're fine, but we're good, too, and we are playing at home.

-What would Barça be like without Messi? Where would they be?

-That's what I would like to know. It's a difficult question. I would like to see Barcelona without Messi. But I don't know what would happen. He's happy there and I don't think he will leave. But I would like to see them without Messi.

-Would Barça have won as many trophies without him?

-You have to have respect because there are a lot of other good players. But it's a question everyone asks, to see Barcelona without Messi... But you can't forget they also have Suárez, Busquets, Mascherano and many, many more. But that questions, I think many players and many football people ask.

-What is Fayçal Fajr's dream?

-To play in the World Cup with my country (Morocco). To win trophies. This year, in November, we will know if we have qualified for the World Cup. That is the first objective, to qualify. And then, la Liga. To stay in the top flight and finish as high as possible.
