Fabio Capello: Leo Messi is the best in the world; Cristiano Ronaldo is the best in Madrid

Fabio Capello says that "Lionel Messi is the world's best player", while "Cristiano Ronaldo is the best player at Real Madrid".

The Russia national team manager, who has previously coached Madrid, lavished praise on not just Messi, but also on his Barcelona teammate Neymar. 

"Messi has creativity, imagination, he can go straight for goal... He can pass like nobody else in the world," Capello said.

"Cristiano, on the other hand, is pure pace and power. He has a great shot and he is a natural goal scorer.

"As for Neymar, he is young and you have to give him time, but in my opinion he has more imagination that Ronaldo, but he is still a long way from Messi.

"Messi is in another dimension.

"Neymar doesn't have the speed of Messi [with the ball], but like I said, give him time. He is also having to deal with the transfer and contract stuff -- mentally that must affect him." 

Capello also suggested tha the title race in La Liga will go to the wire. 

"There will not be a champion until the final game," he suggested. "Barça's result in Seville has given life to Real Madrid."
