Barça are racing against time to get the deal done

The clubs are far apart in their valuations of the player but anything could happen

With Coutinho ruled out, Barça are using the last minutes of the transfer window to hold express negotiations with PSG for Ángel Di Maria. So far, the two clubs have been a long way apart in their positions.

Barça have made two offers - of €25 million and €35 million - for the player while PSG started off asking for €90 million and are now asking for €60 million.

Barça officials are currently desperately trying to reach an agreement with PSG for the player, who is currently with his national team.

No one dares to say what the outcome will be, "anything could happen," sources close to the negotiation say. The club is also negotiating an agreement with Alavés for the transfer of Munir.

Barça have been looking for an attacking midfielder and have sounded out Lemar, Verratti, Coutinho and now Di Maria. It's the last option on the table.
