EXCLUSIVE photos as Lionel Messi heads to Argentina

Now the league season is finished for FC Barcelona, Lionel Messi is going to travel to Argentina. The forward is heading there now, after going to the aeroport on Tuesday afternoon. He will be accompanied by Antonella Roccuzzo, his partner, and their children. Messi's parents went with them to say goodbye, and will be staying in Barcelona. He gave his father Jorge a big hug before taking his bags and entering the terminal. 

Leo heads to Argentina to join up with the national team ahead of the Copa America Centenario, disputed in the United States. SPORT was present at the moment Messi waved goodbye to his parents and headed off. 

The Argentine also agreed to pose for pictures with others at the aeroport who wanted to take advantage of his presence to get rare snaps. Messi shall return to Barcelona on June 2 to speak in court over alleged tax fraud trouble, before going back to the US to play for his country.
