Exclusive: Mascherano rules out imminent move to China as rumours mount

The Argentine is focused on Barça and told his agent to ignore any offers arriving from Asia

Javier Mascherano is not thinking about leaving Barcelona to accept the millions on offer from Chinese football.

The Jefecito has taken the step to ask his agent, Walter Tamer, to not even listen to the offers which could arrive from China's emerging league.

After months of talks, Mascherano agreed a new deal with Barcelona, which will be signed when he returns from the current international break.

He wants to complete his contract with Barça and is not thinking about packing his bags for an exotic adventure.

Mascherano received offers from Juventus and China in the summer, although neither made concrete offers to Barcelona.

Now, and keeping in mind that Chinese football hopes to make some big signings in January, Mascherano has signalled that he doesn't want to be the subject of speculation.

He has no intention of leaving Camp Nou until, at the earliest, after the World Cup in Russia in 2018.
