Ex-FBCEscola director Xevi Marce gets job with Manchester City

Barcelona's DNA continues to be exported around the world, be it players, managers or directors. The Catalan club's model has worked so well for so many years and for that reason there are a lot of clubs who have confidence in hiring people who have previously worked at Barça.

And Xevi Marce is not an exception. He was formerly the director of FCBEscola, but left the club in October. Since then, he has not been short of interesting offers, keeping in mind his experience and the good work he did with FC Barcelona. However, he wanted to take some time off before taking a decision on his next step.

But it's been five months now and it seems the rest is over. After several days in England it's become clear what his next job will be. It will be in Manchester, with Manchester City. That is the club Xevi Marce will begin working for, although his role has still not been made official. It's likely, though, to be similar to what he did with the FCBEscola.

What is for sure is that he will not feel out of place at Manchester City. He will be re-united with many ex-Barça people. From Ferran Soriano and Txiki Begiristain to Pep Guardiola and his staff, who will arrive in June, and to the various other executives working in areas such as marketing.
