An emotional day for the family of Barça's Andre Gomes

Andre Gomes' presentation as Barcelona's latest summer acquisition has meant a great deal for the family and friends of the midfielder.

In an unusual occurrence, the Catalan club had to reserve 20 seats in the press room for those accompanying the Portugal international and all were excited to see Gomes enjoy his big day, including his representative Jorge Mendes.

The "super agent", who has held close ties with Florentino Perez and Real Madrid over the years, sat two rows behind the group of family and friends wearing a headset connected to his phone, and was clearly happy to see one of his star clients start a new life in Catalonia.

But Gomes' parents were the ones with the most visible emotion. His father, a lifelong Blaugrana supporter from Portugal, gazed proudly upon Gomes while his mother also beamed with delight.

The entourage was completed by friends and other advisers of Mendes, who all left the Camp Nou together for lunch to celebrate a special day.
