Unai Emery has talked about PSG’s current situation in an interview with L’Equipe and said that the arrival of a player like the Brazilian is almost an obligation.
“Neymar? The club and the fans would be happy if he came. PSG should have a player who is in the top 5, 6 or 7 in the world, in addition to the great players we already have here. The objective is not easy. He might come… he might not. The club is working on it, it won’t be easy but maybe we can do it”, the manager said.
After PSG’s friendly against Roma in Detroit, Emery claimed that PSG were in position to fight to win everything, “even the most difficult” titles and made it clear that the club would be ambitious in the transfer market: “PSG want the best players in the world”.
Emery also reflected on PSG’s elimination from the Champions League at the hands of Barcelona and says that his team have learnt: “We needed that experience. Football is like that, it’s played with the ball, and in the head as well.”
