Douglas is surprise Porto transfer target as Danilo replacement

Porto are known as a great discoverer of talents and know how to get every last penny out of clubs trying to sign their players. They buy low and sell high. Their president Pinto da Costa is famous for not being easy to handle in negotiations. The Portuguese club have sold Danilo to Real Madrid for €31.5million recently, for example.

Now they have the chore of trying to replace Danilo and, being accustomed to sounding out the South American market, they have some potential targets like Marcos Rocha, of Mineiro, or Mayke, from Cruzeiro. However, the Portuguese newspaper O Jogo has pointed out there is a European club that manager Lopetegui is looking towards to find a replacement. That club is Barcelona, and apparently the replacement is Douglas, who arrived in the summer.

Douglas has played very few minutes for Barcelona and has not shown anything out of the ordinary when he has had the chance to play. If any club can relaunch the career of Douglas in Europe, it's Porto.
