Barça are considering a swap deal including André Gomes
Di Maria has decided. He wants to leave PSG and join Barça. The Argentinian has told the French club and his current manager Unai Emery, and has asked them not to stand in his way.
Robert Fernández has already said that Barça want one or two more signings before the window shuts. And Di Maria is the second one after Coutinho.
Barça know the player wants to join but also that negotiating with PSG after the Neymar deal will be difficult. The club is hoping Jorge Mendes can help them seal the deal, and it’s partly because of his involvement that rumours of a player exchange – Gomes for Di Maria - surfaced.
Emery likes André Gomes so such a deal cannot be ruled out but Barça are working against the clock to get a deal done before the window shuts on Friday.
