AS: Depor defender Sidnei in Barcelona for a medical
Deportivo La Coruna defender Sidnei is close to securing a move to Barcelona, according to Diario AS.
Said information reports there is an agreement between the Brazilian and the Catalan club and alleges that he is in Barcelona this week to pass a medical and finalise the contract details.
Sidnei already knows the city of Barcelona having spent one season with Espanyol in 2013/14.
He has rejected the offer of a deal with Depor, who must pay Benfica three million euros to keep the centre-back, who has spent two years on loan in Galicia. He has two years left on his contract with the Portuguese club.
Sidnei would be, according to these reports, the possible replacement for Marc Bartra. The Catalan defender has not played much this season and is expected to leave this summer.
