Denis Suarez: I've come to Barça to fight for my place

Denis Suarez claims he is not bothered by the 'overbooking' situation in the Barcelona midfield after rejoining the club from Villarreal.

The 22-year-old will compete with the likes of Andres Iniesta, Ivan Rakitic and Andre Gomes for a spot in Luis Enrique's starting 11 next season, a challenge he is more than ready for.

"All the biggest clubs in the world have positions filled with quality players, but that hasn't stopped me from coming here and I'll fight for my place," Suarez said.

In regards to Gomes, he added: "He's a great player who can play both in the center and wide midfield."

Suarez has travelled with the Barça contingent to England as the squad continue their pre-seasons preparations at St. George's Park before competing in the International Champions Cup. Lionel Messi has returned early from his holidays to also make the trip and has joined back up with his team-mates sporting a new blonde look.

"It's a 'top' hairstyle for a 'top' player," Suarez joked.
