De Jong breaks his silence about a potential move away from Ajax
"I haven't made any decision yet," the midfielder told the media following Ajax's match against Bayern Munich
Frankie de Jong continues to show the upmost respect for Ajax and his teammates by refusing to talk about a potential move away from the club. He stood infront of the media following his side's 3-3 draw with Bayern Munich in the Champions League.
"I haven't made any decision about my future yet," he answered. This comes in the week where it was reported that he'd already agreed a move to PSG, something which has since been denied.
Frenkie is one of the most sought after players in world football and Barça, PSG and Manchester City are just three of the many sides keeping tabs on his progression. All three could be potential opponents for his Ajax side in the Last 16 of Europe's premier competition but De Jong believes his side shouldn't fear drawing a big team. "If we play like we did in the second half against Bayern, we have a chance against anyone."
It's fair to say De Jong didn't have his best game against Bayern. The young midfielder was at fault for the third goal and was very crticial of his own performance. "I was more careless than normal in the first half. Even in the second half I wasn't as good as I should be. I believe I can play better."
