Dani Alves draws criticism for latest Instagram video
Barcelona right-back Dani Alves is once again the centre of attention on social media. Both Twitter and Instagram have been a buzz with comments after his latest publication, a video in which he pretends to be his girlfriend, the model Joana Sanz.
Impersonating Sanz, he sports a wig and puts on a voice as he mimics what she either said or would have said after Barça's Champions League elimination to Atletico Madrid. "Darling, it's just a game of football. Don't worry, life goes on," he said, among other things, just hours before the semi-final draw.
Several media outlets were also quick to criticise Barça's Brazilian star. However, he received several 'likes' on the post from his team-mates, such as Croatian international Ivan Rakitic, demonstrating some people took it in the right way. Here is the video:
