Cuadrado's agent confirms Barça interest

Alessandro Lucci, the agent of Juan Cuadrado, has confirmed that Barcelona are in contact with the Fiorentina player.

After shining at the World Cup for Colombia, the 26-year old has become one of the most sought after players of the transfer window and Lucci has confirmed Barça are in the race for the player's signature.

"We are in contact with Barcelona and with other clubs," he explained. 

"They are all interested in [Cuadrado], but there is no agreement at the moment.

"Speaking about players that I represent is not something I do often, but I think it's necessary because of the stir that has been generated in the media."

There have been reports that Cuadrado will try and force through a move from Italy this summer, but Lucci denied that, suggesting his client would be happy to continue where he is now. 

"Those rumours are false," he continued. 

"Our intention is for both parties to be happy. For now, Cuadrado is an important player for Fiorentina, but if offers arrive we will analyse them." 

The asking place for the player, who plays as a winger but could be converted into a full-back at Camp Nou, is thought to be north of €40million.
