The English club are interested in a transfer, not a loan

Munir had hoped to move to Roma but a deal was never agreed

After Sergi Samper completed his loan move to Las Palmas, it seems as if Munir could be the next player to leave Barcelona. There has been interest in the striker from various clubs, but in recent hours Crystal Palace have emerged as the favourites to sign him.

The London club are looking to strengthen their attack and have focused their efforts on Munir in the last few days. Ajax and Deportivo have also asked about the Spain Under-21 international, but it looked as if he would complete a move to Roma. However, the Italian side could not reach an agreement with Barça and instead look set to sign Patrick Schick from Sampdoria.

Palace's interest is total. They are ready to begin talks with Barça, who are not interested in a loan deal. The English club planned to begin talks sooner, but there's been a delay due to the Champions League draw and Barcelona's negotiations with Borussia Dortmund over a deal for Ousmane Dembele.

As soon as Barça's delegation returns to the Catalan city, talks could begin immediately.
