Cristiano Ronaldo and the Spanish model Desire Cordero are about to become the new in-fashion couple. For a few days the media have been reporting on the relationship between the Real Madrid player and 23-year-old former Miss Spain. However, the connection between them could be far from a romantic one.
The relationship between them has some aspects similar to that between Ronaldo and Russian Irina Shayk. For this reason some media sources have started to speculate about the possibility that it’s a relationship of convenience that helps both.
Cristiano Ronaldo’s image advisors are conscious that it’s better for the player to have a partner. He’s used to sending out a narcissistic image with his actions, something sponsors don’t like.
However, having a girlfriend sends the image out that the player is in love with someone who isn’t himself and this helps. In essence, Cristiano sells more when he’s with a woman than alone.
Obviously she benefits too, like with Shayk - she became much more widely known. With this relationship his image advisors are killing two birds with one stone, after the speculation that Ronaldo was in a relationship with Moroccan boxer Badr Hari, which annoyed Madrid president Florentino Perez.
This is a win-win situation, claim some media sources, where everyone benefit. Sometimes money is more powerful than love.
