Cristian Tello and Martin Montoya's current situation at Barça
Barcelona sporting director Robert Fernandez has explained the situation of two players seemingly discarded by the club in Cristian Tello and Martin Montoya.
During Andre Gomes' presentation as the Blaugrana's fourth summer addition, Fernandez stated that neither of the pair are included in the deal for the Portuguese midfielder. Therefore, the next destinations for Tello and Montoya isn't Valencia, for now, but the latter could still negotiate with Los Che.
"There's nothing done [with either player]," Fernandez said, "We're negotiating and both Tello and Montoya have a contract with the club that we must respect.
"Martin performed well [during loan spells] for Inter Milan and Real Betis, Cristian also with Porto and Fiorentina. Their situations have nothing to do with Andre Gomes."
However, these two cases for Tello and Montoya have yet to be resolved along with team-mate Adriano Correia, who is still yet to have his move to Besiktas officially confirmed.
